The standard in-laboratory time is 7–9 days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

We recommend that you choose a morning appointment for an Express DNA test to ensure that the DNA samples will reach the laboratory the following day (via Royal Mail Special Delivery).

Clients attend their clinic appointment on a Monday and order an Express test.

The samples arrive at the laboratory administration centre by 1pm on the Tuesday.

Samples will be booked into the laboratory at 9am the following day (Wednesday).

The processing starts from that point. In the case of the +£450 service, the results will be available that Wednesday evening.

If you wish, the laboratory will telephone you with the results of an Express DNA test.

Please note that the laboratory is closed on bank holidays, which will extend the times shown here.

However, if you would like the results sooner, we have four levels of Express processing.

The fees shown here (per case, not per person) should be added to the basic cost of the test.
